Keeping yourself save from the heat and humidity the next few days is critical

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Daytime highs will not stray too far from 90-degrees through Wednesday with Sunday and Monday being the hottest days of the season, so far, as temps reach 93 to end the weekend and start the new week. When you factor the temperature and humidity for the heat index value or feels-like temperature, that reading will hover around 100-degrees the next several days.

These hot temps always mean that there’s an outside chance of a heat of the day shower or storm especially in the mountains. That’ll be the case at least through Wednesday.

You’ll want to practice heat safety wherever you are. Heat related deaths are preventable. Make sure that you stay hydrated, take breaks in air conditioned areas or the shade, and never leave people or pets in locked vehicles.
