JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Campbell County Commission held its monthly workshop on Monday, discussing upcoming agenda items, including the disbursement of opioid abatement funds for the year, among other business items.
Commissioners received information from General Sessions Judge Bill Jones regarding decisions on how the opioid abatement disbursement funds will be allotted. A Board/coalition had been created by the Addiction Awareness Committee to oversee the fund disbursement. Applications were taken in March and April. The funds available to be disbursed this year are $235,452.32.

Organizations recommended to receive funds include Pinnacle Resource Center, Bridges to Recovery, Springs of Life, Boys and Girls Club of Campbell County, HOL Health Counseling, General Sessions Recovery Court, CHET Veterans Court, and STAND Campbell United.
