LFD and CC EMA responded, ventilated the restaurant, and Hardee’s reopened

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Around 8:30am today, the Saturday morning breakfast rush was in full swing as usual at Hardee’s across from Grace Rehab on the four lane. The usual busy morning came to a sudden stop when a CO2 (carbon dioxide) alarm sounded.

The building was evacuated and first responders arrived to secure the scene. Firefighters with the La Follette Fire Department along with the Campbell County Emergency Management Agency responded and used large fans to ventilate the restaurant.

Units cleared the scene at 9:27am, and Hardee’s employees were allowed to go back inside the restaurant. After a few minutes of regrouping, Hardee’s reopened about 10 minutes later, after being closed for about 65 minutes. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 05/25/2024-9:30AM)
