LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Sheriff’s Det. Sgt. James McCall believes two La Follette men conspired to sell and deliver dangerous narcotics, according to a report from the CCSO. McCall obtained a narcotics search warrant, and it was executed at a north La Follette home just before 10am Wednesday.

Members of the Sheriff’s SWAT Team and Drug Unit joined officers from the La Follette Police Department to execute the warrant and secure the premises; 401 East Mountain Drive just off North Indiana Avenue.

Several drug paraphernalia items were found throughout the home. Allegedly included in the find were glass and plastic pipes, commonly used for smoking narcotics, along with digital scales, frequently used to weigh narcotics prior to selling them. Elsewhere small and medium zip style baggies, used to package narcotics for resale, were found along a short red straw for snorting narcotics.

Arrested were Malaki Phillips, 20, and Brandon Mills, 27, both of the 401 East Mountain Drive, La Follette. These are the two men McCall believes allegedly sold and delivered fake Roxy Codones that had been produced containing Fentanyl, based on McCall’s report. Fentanyl is a known dangerous schedule II narcotic.

Malaki Phillips was charged with criminal conspiracy, the manufacture-delivery-sell of schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and a schedule II controlled substance.

Charges levied against Brandon Mills are criminal conspiracy, the manufacture-delivery-sell of schedule II controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Phillips allegedly told McCall and Det. Sgt. Joe Hopson he keeps his narcotics in a toolbox. Found in Phillips’ toolbox was a cellophane package containing what is thought to be .5 grams of Methamphetamine.

James Dalton Smith faces one charge, possession of drug paraphernalia.

James Dalton Smith, 22, 479 College Hill Road, La Follette, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Sheriff’s Sgt. Josh Jeffers searched Smith and allegedly found a set of digital scales in Smith’s left ball shorts pocket. Smith allegedly said the scales were in his pocket from “just snorting a line,” according to McCall’s report.

The manufacture-delivery-sell of schedule II controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia are charges against Stephanie Marie Hicks.

Placed under arrest was a 36-year old female who was also at the home. Stephanie Marie Hicks of 341 Lake Road, Caryville, allegedly admitted to investigators that a white container located in the residence, containing four small bags believed to be 10 grams of Meth, was hers. Also discovered were two blue pills, marked M30, and two small pieces of a blue pill. The pills are thought to be fake Roxy Codone 30 milligrams known to contain Fentanyl.

Mills allegedly said he had three blue pills in his wallet and knew they were fake Roxy Codone, 30 milligrams, that contained Fentanyl. Additionally, Mills allegedly admitted he was selling the fake pills to Phillips, and they were being stored in Phillips’ toolbox. The three blue pills, in a cellophane package, were found in Mills’ wallet and are consistent in packaging for resale.
