Lady Cougar Lacey Pemberton’s 19 points helped Campbell hold Gibbs at bay

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Campbell Lady Cougars take a 4 & 0 mark into the Thanksgiving holiday weekend ahead of a three-game week next week. On Wednesday evening, Campbell fought off a determined Gibbs Eagle team to keep its record unblemished.

Pemberton’s 19 points were followed by eight each from Saylor Hutchison and Carley Kitts. Bella Lester scored seven points while freshmen Jayden Kitts and Preslee Chapman had six and four points respectively. Playing but not scoring were Reagan Davis, Destiny Rutherford, Reagan Stanfill and Aleah Woodson.

The Lady Cougars take some time away for the holiday and will return to the practice floor on Saturday. A trip to Maryville is next for a match-up with Blount on Tuesday. The WLAF-Doyle’s Tire Shop Network has the live telecast beginning at 6pm.
