Police say woman was selling drugs out of walk-up bedroom window

La Follette Police say this woman, Crystal King, being interviewed by La Follette Police Detective-Sergeant Matthew Forsyth, was selling drugs out of the bedroom window below.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) - Four people went to jail the last time the La Follette Police Department's Narcotics Unit and Special Response Team were in action executing a narcotics search warrant at 1117 West Central Avenue. LPD units and officers were back at the home that sits at the corner of West Central Avenue and 25th Street this morning just after 6am executing another narcotics search warrant. Related story.

Powers announces COVID-19 Fiscal Recovery Funds

Rosales fails to report accident

DUFF, TN (WLAF) - In the early hours of May 6, two broken taillights caught the attention of Campbell County Sheriff's Deputy Preston Mullins while he was patrolling White Oak Rd. Mullins stopped the camo colored Suzuki and made contact with the driver, Donald Caldwell and the rear seat passenger Kathryn Jewell Rosales. Rosales had two small children that appeared to be toddler age sitting in Rosales' lap without a seatbelt on, according to a report from the sheriff’s department.

Miller, a star on LHS state championship finalist team, passes

The La Follette Owls of 1953-54 featured Kenneth Smiley Miller, Number 26, along with life-long friends, Bill Ed Davis, in street clothes, and Jimmy Davis, Number 24. The team was coached by the legendary John Reynolds Woodson Brown, in coat and tie.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) - His given name was Kenneth though he went through life as Smiley; Kenneth Smiley Miller. The man with the infectious smile and strong handshake passed away on Wednesday.
