The much anticipated Caryville Cares Playground officially opens today at noon

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Members of the Caryville Volunteer Fire and Police Departments were busy late day Thursday getting ready for Friday’s attendees who will celebrate the grand opening of the Caryville Cares Playground. The celebration begins at noon today, and you’re invited.

CVFD Chief Eddie Hatmaker, his firefighters and other volunteers washed the parking area around the playground and did some other tidying up ahead of today’s celebration.

On Friday afternoon, it’ll be ready, set, play for lots of youngsters who have been awaiting this big day.

Police officers with CPD were busy working out the logistics for parking for the expected large crowd. “We are expecting more than a hundred youngsters, and we plan to utilize the ball field across from the all inclusive playground for parking,” said CPD Officer Raymond Surber.

Friday’s ribbon cutting on the new playground is set for noon.
