Firefighter Joey Gilbert with the Caryville Volunteer Fire Department and other firefighters acted quickly to keep Tuesday afternoon’s structure fire from spreading, and they did.

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Quick action by firefighters from Caryville and Jacksboro Fire Departments kept a bad situation from becoming worse. A garage was fully involved when units arrived at 1:21pm Tuesday.

The garage, on Daughtery Lane, just off Patty Hill Road, was located near a camper trailer and a vehicle. “We were able to contain the fire to the garage, and there were no injuries,” said CFVD Chief Eddie Hatmaker.

“The garage was a total loss,” said CFVD Chief Eddie Hatmaker.
