Set for Thursday and Friday at Walmart

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – “We’re going to be able to celebrate Christmas with 400 youngsters this year during Shop with a Cop,” said Chief Daniel Smith with Jacksboro Police. The chief applauds all the law enforcement officers and the many others who have worked so hard to make this such a success.

The Shop with a Cop program was established in 1998 and has been hosted by the Jacksboro Police Department since its inception.  

Each year multiple law enforcement agencies join together for the holiday event helping local children. Participating agencies include the Jacksboro Police Department, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Tennessee Parks, Campbell County Sheriff’s Department, LaFollette Police Department, Caryville Police Department, Jacksboro Fire Department, Eighth Judicial District Attorney General’s Office, Tennessee Wildlife Department, and Tennessee Department of Corrections.
