LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Santa is coming early to the Dewey Hunter Center in LaFollette thanks to the efforts of “Caring Cousins” second district commissioner Scott Kitts and Jaylynn Kitts Malone.

“We’re happy to announce our “Caring Cousins” Christmas event will be Fri., Dec. 22, at 11 am at the Dewey Hunter Center, LaFollette,” Commissioner Kitts said.

The event includes a visit from Santa, as well as treats and presents. The “Caring Cousins” will also be giving out $20 Walmart gift cards for the kids.

Organizers are asking parents to arrive early to see Santa Claus.

“He’ll be arriving from the north pole with lots of toys, and there will be free pictures with him. So please bring your cell phone to take photos. We’re expecting this event to be huge. We are so excited to be doing this for our children and the community,” Commissioner Kitts said.

The “Caring Cousins” are still taking toy donations of new toys or used clean toys for the upcoming event.

Kitts said he wanted to “thank everyone for the generous donations with the toys so far.”

“We’re continuing taking toys, both new ones and clean used ones and also if anybody wants to donate towards the $20 Walmart gift cards contact me or Jaylynn Kitts Malone for the “Caring Cousins” Christmas event. This is going to be a very huge event for the children and the community and our county,” Commissioner Kitts said.
