Rev. Howard Thomas (Tom) Gillum Jr., age 75, of LaFollette went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. He was a member of High Knob Baptist Church, Honor Guard of Campbell County, U.S. Army Veteran, retired from Y-12 in Oak Ridge and former owner of LA Café and Catering.

Preceded in death by Infant Daughter: Kamille Ann Gillum, Parents: Howard T. and Naomi Kitts Gillum, Brothers: Steve Gillum and Mike Gillum, Sister: Missy Gillum.

Survived by:

Wife: Shirley Snodderly Gillum

Daughters: Melinda Farris Wilson and Whit, Jill Deshea Boshears and Jeff

Grandchildren: Bo (Morgan) Farris, Max (Anna) Farris, Hannah (Hunter) Duncan, Megan Boshears, Ella Boshears

Great-Grandson: Jay Farris

Brothers: Rev. Kenny (Connie) Gillum, Roger (Debbie) Gillum, Rusty (Carolyn) Gillum, Joey (Michelle) Gillum

Special thanks to Sherry Owen, Melanie Lay and Liz for the care they provided for our family.

Family will receive friends 5-7 PM, Sunday, September 24th at High Knob Baptist Church with funeral service to follow at 7 PM, Rev. Kenny Gillum, Bo Farris, Max Farris officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15 AM Monday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery for 11 AM Interment with Military Honors given by Honor Guard of Campbell County and Jellico Honor Guard.
