JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office has released the statistics for the department’s August activity as it continues to protect and serve through the summer heat.

During the month of August 2023:

Miles patrolled: 48,790 (July 35,795)

Calls for Service: 1,078 (July 855)

Civil Process: 269 (July 217)

Assisted Motorist: 118 (July 77)

Property Checks: 1,491 (July 1,341)

Arrests: 51 (July 46)

Citations: 9 (July 6)

Incident Reports: 103 (July 53)

Crash Reports: 20 (July 19)

Funeral Escorts: 31 (July 27)

There were 206 (July 160) bags of litter picked up across 37 miles of roadway.

“I would like to express my appreciation to all members of the CCSO staff for their hard work and dedication. Our detectives, deputies, school resource officers, corrections officers, administration and support staff are among the very best in law enforcement,” said Sheriff Wayne Barton.
