James Henderson (Hillbilly) Thomas, age 83, of Speedwell passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023. He was preceded in death by parents Henderson and Ethel Paul Thomas, wife Janice, son James, and sister Catherine White. He retired from the US Army and from Kokomo Sanitary Pottery and was a farmer.

Sons: Greg and Barb Thomas, Dan Thomas, and Rachel

Daughter: Janelle and Jeff Love

Grandchildren: Josh Thomas, Jared and Rachel Goodnight, Jay and Sarah Thomas, Nichole and Ray Roach, Nichelle and Bruce VanMeter, Dustin and Bre Lawson, Donovan (Bev) Thomas

Great-Grandchildren: Sarai Thomas, Hudson Goodnight, James and Anna Thomas, Jordan, Brittany, Kayson, Blaine, Teigan VanMeter, Brynlee Lawson

Family will receive friends 1-3 PM, Tuesday, September 5th at Cross-Smith Funeral Home, with funeral service at 3 PM, Rev. Fred Stagnolia officiating.

Interment in Ellison Cemetery after service with Military Honors given by the Honor Guard of Campbell County.
