William Patrick “Bill” Baehne passed away peacefully in his home in Rocky Top on August 28, 2023. He was born on July 26, 1968 in Des Plaines, Illinois to the late Martha N. (Sweeny) Baehne and Charles Otto Baehne. Bill was a master carpenter from a young age, proud to have been taught by and followed in his father’s footsteps. He loved helping others and served his community as a firefighter and paramedic in McHenry, Illinois. He also loved the mountains and lakes of East Tennessee and enjoyed being with God in this glorious region. He enjoyed all things outdoors, ATV riding, boating, hunting, fishing and seeing friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by his two sons, Robert William “Robbie” and William Charles “Billy”; brother, Richard Talbot; sister, Donna Baehne.

He is survived by: his loving wife, Patricia; daughters, Jessica (Jon) Koehn and Coral (Kevin) Brophy; grandchildren, Sawyer, Nash, Ford and Riley Koehn and Quinnley Brophy. Siblings, Christine Talbot, Timothy Talbot, Jody Gierke, Suzanne Gitz, David Baehne, Diane Davis, Dawn Reyes, Tom Newtson, Rick Newtson, Trisha Tesmer and Jason Tesmer. Bill was happy to be surrounded by a big family which included 17 special nephews and nieces and 21 great-nephews and great-nieces.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Leach family funeral home and cremation on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 2 PM with a reception to follow. www.leachfamilyfuneralhome.com
