LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – Summer Reading 2022 is well underway at the LaFollette Public Library. The series kicked off last week with puppeteer, ventriloquist and magician, Gene Cordova. Ranger Mark from Cove Lake State Park is today’s featured guest beginning at 10am.

La Follette Fire Chief Jimmy Pack will also be a featured guest this month. Pack will also bring along firefighters and a fire engine. A picnic and fun at the Splash Park are also on the schedule.

Here’s the summer schedule:

Wednesday, June 8 – 10 a.m. – Ranger Mark from Cove Lake State Park will be here telling us all about the services offered at the park, and he will bring some of his favorite park animals!

Wednesday, June 15 – 10 a.m. – Jimmy Pack, Fire Chief with the LaFollette Fire Department, will bring a fire engine for everyone to enjoy.

Wednesday, June 22 – 10 a.m. – Awards and certificates, followed by a picnic at the Splash Park!
