LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Michael Hurt is the featured artist for the Postmark LaFollette Homemade Artshine Arts and Crafts Co-op and WLAF.

Hurt is an amazing metal worker who uses scrap metal, horseshoes, and coins to make his pieces. He has been making his bells for about a year. The bells are made from coins, usually Eisenhower dollars but sometimes fifty cent pieces. He also makes rings out of coins. Hurt says, “Metal work is cool. It gives me something to do, and it’s relaxing.”
