CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Jerry Cross served his county, state and country in a career that spanned decades. On Monday morning, the bridge in his native Caryville that spans I-75 will fittingly be dedicated in his memory.

Rep. Dennis Powers and Sen. Ken Yager will be there to dedicate the bridge at 10:30am.

Cross served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War, returned home and began serving. He was a county commissioner, the county court clerk, county mayor and state representative.

Jerry Cross died in 2017. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/16/2021-7:45AM)
