LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Little did Patrick Matlock know that when Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Shayne Wilburn knocked on his door that four other deputies had his house surrounded.

On Monday, April 19, Matlock had two warrants for theft of property under $1,000 and an evading arrest charge.

Wilburn went to Matlock’s College Hill Road home on Tuesday, April 20, looking for Matlock. In the mean time, Sgt. Joshua Jeffers and Deputies Jordan Huskey, Andy Ray and Robey Ward surrounded the house. Ward knocked on the door with a white male answering. Ward asked him if he had seen Matlock, and he shrugged his shoulders in response, according to the report. About that time, Ward saw.

Based on the report, Matlock attempted to jump out of a back window but didn’t after seeing Jeffers standing outside the window. He then headed for the back door running into Huskey. Wilburn placed Matlock under arrest. Jail records reveal this was Matlock’s 27th arrest.

Patrick Neil Matlock, 38, 172 College Hill Road-La Follette is scheduled to be in court this morning. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/27/2021-6AM)
