Coen Lee Stokes, age70, passed away Saturday March 20, 2021.  He was born on November 1, 1950 in LaFollette. He was a member of the Coolidge First Baptist Church. He loved to deer hunt and fish, he enjoyed the outdoors and all wildlife.  He volunteered in the US Army on April 1, 1968 and was honorably discharged on March 9, 1972. He served in Vietnam in 1969 with the 168th Combat Engineering Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, and he served in Germany on 2 separate occasions. He was awarded several medals and he was an expert with M14 and M16 rifles.

He is preceded in death by his father Condy Stokes and mother Margie Prater; brother James E. Stokes; sisters Kay Stokes and Lenora Sweat; and sister-in-law Evon Stokes.

He is survived by daughter, Regina Steen; grandsons, Zachery, Noah, and Colby: granddaughter Alexa, all of Marshfield, Missouri; brother, Dennis Stokes; sisters, Ramona Kimmel, Lena Bailey, and Donna Overton, Elaine Henegar; special aunt Connie Cox; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday March 23, 2021 from 5 PM to 7 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home.  Funeral service to follow at 7 PM with Rev. J.R. Kitts officiating.
