LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A pick-up truck and a station wagon collided just before 9 pm on Sunday night on Highway 25W at Hunters Branch Road.

Trooper Trevor Nolan investigated with assistance from Tennessee Highway Patrol Troopers Jeffery Clowers and Jacob Wiser.

In his report, Trooper Nolan details that 21-year old Lindsey Johnson of Jacksboro was Jacksboro-bound just south of Hunters Branch Road.  Johnson’s 2007 Subaru Forester veered into the north bound lanes and struck a 2007 La Follette-bound Dodge Ram according to the report.  Both vehicles came to an uncontrolled rest on Highway 25W.

Driving the Dodge was 26-year old Joseph Daugherty of La Follette.  Daughterty was not injured while Johnson was injured and taken to the La Follette Medical Center.  Based on the report, Daugherty was wearing his seat belt.  Johnson was not wearing her seat belt.

Johnson is charged with DUI (driving under the influence), Due Care, Failure to Maintain Lane, Seat Belt and Insurance.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/24/2020-9AM)
