Claiborne plays spoiler on Lady Cougar soccer 8th grade night

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Your Campbell County United Lady Cougar soccer squad, led by Head Coach Andy Baird, hosted Claiborne County on 8th grade night at the CCHS soccer field.

The game started off as a back-and-forth battle with neither team scoring a goal in the first half of play. Each team only had a couple shots on goal.

At halftime, seven 8th graders were honore; Molly Grace Baird, Kendall Bowman Gibson, Jaci Chapman, Aria Norwood, Nora Snodderly, Natalie Clevenshire, and Teegan Millete.

In the second half, Claiborne connected for not one, but two goals, while holding the Lady Cougars scoreless, making the final score 2-0.

The Lady Cougars put up a valiant effort to say the least, but just could not find the back of the net.
