Roane State Community College (RSCC) is set to receive $900,000

NASHVILLE, TN (SEPCIAL TO WLAF)- State Senator Ken Yager (R-Kingston) announced today that Roane State Community College (RSCC) is set to receive $900,000 as part of the state’s 2025-2026 proposed budget. The funds will go towards construction for a new  health center at RSCC.  Governor Bill Lee delivered the news at the annual State of the State Address on February, 10th, 2025, where he unveiled his budget priorities.

“I am thrilled Governor Lee included this critical funding in this year’s budget,” said Yager. “Roane State plays a vital role in educating countless students in our district. As a former Roane State teacher, this community college is close to my heart.  I am glad these funds will enable Roane State to introduce more programs and resources that will greatly benefit our community and help shape the future of our region and state.”

The funding is part of record investments in education being made throughout the state.
