Welfare check by deputy locates a La Follette woman in need of help

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- A silver Honda Civic could pass for a drug and drug paraphernalia mini warehouse on wheels after what Campbell Deputy Luke Barton found while inventorying it. He allegedly found Marijuana, Fentanyl, bags of hypodermic needles and much more. It all started with the driver of the car drawing attention to herself when someone called police about her being slumped over the steering wheel with the driver’s door open near a home on Pony Drive.
It was around 9:30 pm Saturday when Barton made contact with the driver, 29-year-old Brooklyn Michelle Wilson, La Follette. After a minute or two, Wilson woke up and was asked by the deputy if she had any medical issues and if she’d slept the night before wondering what had prompted her to be out. Wilson answered no and that she had slept the previous night.
Allegedly located during the search of the car was four bags of hypodermic needles, numerous prescription medication bottles that did not belong to Wilson, two zip lock bags believed to be containing marijuana, scales containing a white powdery substance, many cut straws, one glass pipe, a bag titled Gelato along with items found in Wilson’s pockets, a white crystal rock-like substance and a second glass pipe, the report said.
Wilson, 29, West Iron Street-La Follette was taken into custody, and her car was towed. Charges levied against Wilson include possession of schedule II and IV with simple possession of schedule VI, possession without prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia.
