LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- “They’re ready to be wired-in, and that’ll happen over the next week or so,” said La Follette Fire Chief Jimmy Pack when talking about the city’s new weather warning sirens.

The weather warning sirens are located at the three La Follette Fire Houses, on the east side near the middle school, in downtown at City Hall and close to the high school on the four lane. “We have generators at all three fire stations,” said Pack.

The chief explained that it’s not been set in stone on what warnings will trigger the weather warning sirens and the number of blasts the distinguish between warnings. “It’ll likely be triggered by a severe thunderstorm warning and a tornado warning,” said Chief Pack.
