Cody Joshua Allen was said to be speeding down White Oak Road

DUFF, TN (WLAF)- Campbell Sheriff’s Deputy James McCall was on routine patrol Sunday afternoon when a passing Nissan Rogue was clocked above the posted 35 MPH speed limit.

Cody Joshua Allen, driving on a suspended driver’s license, was tabbed at 58 miles per hour by Deputy McCall’s moving radar not long after 4pm. The deputy activated lights and siren.

Allen soon pulled off the road at the intersection of Hatmaker Hollow Lane.

When Deputy McCall asked for Allen’s driver’s license, he handed him a Tennessee ID card only. McCall soon learned from Central Dispatch that Allen’s DL was suspended due to a failure to appear in Hawkins County stemming from driving on a suspended license, improper use of registration, no insurance and also for having an active arrest warrant, according to the arrest report from the CCSO.

Allen, 31, of 2510 South Highway 25W, La Follette, was charged with speeding, driving without a license and a hold for another agency. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-05/19/2026-6AM-FILE PHOTO)
