‘It is an honor for the employees of Pyro Shows to sponsor the Veteran’s breakfast’- Lansden Hill

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- It’s quite fitting that Pyro Shows is sponsoring Saturday’s Veterans Appreciation Breakfast. “We are glad to have the opportunity to pay tribute to the veterans in Campbell County. I am proud to be a member of that group. It is also a special honor that our breakfast is on June 6th, the date that Allied Forces invaded Fortress Europe (D-Day) to return the people of many countries to the freedom so many of them fought and died for,” said Lansden Hill, founder-owner-president of Pyro Shows.

The breakfast runs from 8am until 10am in the gym of the Jacksboro First Baptist Church. All veterans, their families and guests are invited.

“As we have all heard many times, freedom is not free. Every veteran gave some, and some who served gave all. We should never forget those things,” said Hill.

Pyro Shows celebrated its 50th year in 2019. Lansden Hill, red sweater is in the front, middle.

The lives we lead are in great part because of the sacrifices that men and women have made since our country was born, according to Hill.

D-Day was on June 6, 1944, and the 82nd anniversary is on June 6th of this year.

And to all members of the military both past and present, the employees of Pyro Shows salute you! (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-06/04/2026-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF WLAF’S CHARLIE HUTSON)
