Firefighters with the Caryville Volunteer Fire Department called out early Thursday

This is a photo from 3:30am Thursday at Turley Hollow Bridge and Old Highway 63. This fire will continue to burn and is being fought by the Tennessee Division of Forestry, according to Caryville Fire Chief Eddie Hatmaker.

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF)- At 3:21am Thursday, a Campbell Sheriff’s Deputy reported the wildfire along Highway 63 at Titus Hollow Road was out of control. Firefighters with the Caryville Volunteer Fire Department responded.

As of 10:06pm Wednesday, that fire has burned 200 acres and is 50% contained, according to the Tennessee Division of Forestry.

The fire line put in place by Forestry Service personnel was near old Highway 63 at Caryville.

The other fire is on the Campbell-Claiborne County line at Rock Creek Ridge Road. Officials with the Tennessee Division of Forestry report that fire in 100% contained, and it burned 250 acres. That was as of Wednesday at 11:07pm.
