The Old Highway 63 fire has been burning for a few days, and the wildfire on New River Road started Friday

Here is a 5:30am Saturday look at the wildfire off Old Hwy 63 at Caryville near the sand mines.
There are two active wildfires in Campbell County on Saturday morning, according to Tennessee Fire Response.

CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN (WLAF)- Alder Springs Road is where a Friday afternoon wildfire ignited sending firefighters with the Campbell County Rural Fire Service there just after 3:30. In all, two acres burned, and the fire is 100% contained as of 11:23pm Friday.

A wildfire broke out Friday along New River Road on the very southeast tip of Campbell County. As of 6:53am Saturday, the fire was 85% contained, and it had consumed 17acres.

By 7:42am Saturday, the Old Highway 63 fire, near part of the sand mines, was classified as 100% contained. Two hundred acres have burned.
