One vehicle lands on its top off the roadway

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- There were two vehicle wrecks almost simultaneously on the west and east sides of La Follette in the noon hour on Sunday.

One mishap, at 12:25pm, involved two vehicles at the Bojangles cut across on the four lane. One person was transported to the hospital. Jacksboro bound traffic was backed up past the high school. La Follette Fire and Police responded along with the Campbell County EMS.

At 12:27pm, crews were dispatched to Middlesboro Road and Shetland Drive for a car on its top accident. When first responders arrived, the two occupants in the Chevy Malibu were still inside the car. First responders assisted in getting them out of the car, and both refused medical treatment and transport to the hospital.

Two people were helped out of this wreck; neither wanted medical treatment.
