Contract Completion and Project Close-Out
Town of Jacksboro
2021 CDBG Dog Creek Phase 2 Trunk Line I/I Rehabilitation Project
Edison Contract # 14652
The Town of Jacksboro hereby gives notice of a public hearing and the completion and closeout of the Town’s 2021 CDBG project. The Notice of Completion for Portland Utilities Construction Company was published April 4, 2024 in The LaFollette Press and aired on WLAF Radio as well. The project entailed the I/I Rehabilitation of the existing 12-inch gravity sewerline with an 18-inch gravity sewerline along the periphery of Dog Creek between Caryville and Jacksboro. With remaining project funds, the Town of Jacksboro on behalf of the Caryville-Jacksboro Utilities Commission (CJUC), requested and received approval from the Tennessee Department of Community Development to purchase and install seven flow meters in manholes along the Dog Creek Trunk Line. The placement of the meters will allow CJUC to obtain adequate data of flow entering into the wastewater collection system for the identification of future rehabilitation project areas along Dog Creek.
The public hearing will be held on Thursday the 13th day of February, 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Town of Jacksboro Municipal Building, 585 Main Street, Jacksboro, TN. The meeting is open to the public and area citizens are encouraged to attend.
Persons with disabilities, who need special accommodations to attend the meeting, should contact the office of the mayor at (423) 562-9312. The Jacksboro Municipal Building is handicap accessible.
