THP makes DUI arrest ahead of tonight’s Sobriety Checkpoint

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- At one time Wednesday afternoon, there were, at least, four Tennessee Highway Patrol cruisers patrolling south Campbell County. One of those troopers responded to a tip of a possible impaired driver.

Jermone John Nicholes was pulled over on Butter & Egg Road around two o’clock Wednesday afternoon by a THP trooper.

Charges levied against Nicholes, 18, of Cherry Street- La Follette include DUI, violation of implied consent and lane laws, open container law, schedule VI simple possession and possession/consumption of intoxicating liquors by a person under age 21.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol and other agencies will be conducting a Sobriety Checkpoint Friday at dusk on Demory Road at the White Bridge-Lonas Young Park.
