First year Campbell Tennis Coach Rusty Fields and his Cougars come home with wins

OAK RIDGE, TN (WLAF)- Campbell Tennis opened its season on the road at Oak Ridge on Friday afternoon. “Hey, my boys beat Oak Ridge 6 matches to 3. The girls lost but hung in there,” said first year Campbell Tennis Coach Rusty Fields.

The Cougars won 6-3. The doubles winners playing number 1 were Joe Vanhalle and Malichi Miesey. They won 4 to 2. Playing number 2, Gavin Cox and Will Croley won 4 to 0.

In singles, Joe Vanhalle, playing number 1, won his match 8 to 5, and Will Croley, playing number 3, won his match 8 to 3. Playing number 5, Hunter Dotson won his match 8 to 0. Jack Stooksbury, playing number 6, won his match 8 to 3.
