CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF)- The road on Caryville Mountain at the Round Rock Baptist Church, Stoney Fork Road, was closed for most all of Saturday due to a collapsed culvert, according to Campbell County Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck. It has since been reopened.

Crews with the highway department spent hours on Saturday working on that area of Stoney Fork Road. A 10-foot culvert collapsed on Saturday morning creating the closure, according to Dilbeck.

The box culvert that will replace the collapsed culvert will look similar to this bridge over Coontail Branch at Elk Valley that opened in Jan. 2023.

The culvert will be replaced with a box culvert, a small bridge of sorts. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-05/24/2026-5AM)
