At 8am, Community Trust Bank-Jacksboro begins accepting donations for those affected by tornado

Here’s a Thursday morning look at the load, and as you can see, there’s still room for your donation. Thank you for your donation or soon to be donation.

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Great strides were made on Wednesday as lots and lots of you came by and donated to helped the folks to our north in tornado devastated London, Kentucky. From 8am until 4pm today, your friends at Community Trust Bank are accepting donations of items to help victims of Friday’s devastating tornado at London. 

A U-Haul truck is parked at the Jacksboro Branch of Community Trust Bank and still has room for more of your donations. It will be there until either Friday, May 23, at 4:00 pm or until it is filled.  Donated items will then be taken to Faith Assembly of God in London.  This church is being used as a distribution center for those in need.

This man was one of the first folks to stop by with a donation on Wednesday.

Some of the much needed items include:

  • Water
  • Tarps
  • Bungee cords
  • Rakes
  • Shovels
  • Buckets
  • Contractor garbage bags
  • Totes
  • Ponchos
  • Canned, non-perishable food
  • Manual can openers
  • Work gloves
  • Blankets
  • Sleeping bags
  • Tents
  • Personal hygiene items such as toothbrushes & toothpaste
  • Diapers
  • Baby wipes
  • Baby food
  • First aid kits
  • Batteries
  • Heavy duty extension cords
