LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Larry Spurlock had a 1951 Kaiser at last Saturday’s first Crusin on North Tennessee Avenue. In 1946, Bert Bibee,  Adron Rutherford and Fred Hollingworth opened Lafollette’s one and only Kaiser dealership. It opened on October 25, 1946, in the brand new Tower Building on West Central Avenue, known today as Red Sweat’s Wrecker Service.

Of course they were selling the 1947 models when they opened. They were in the west side of the building and Carden Motors was in the east side, the Plymouth Chrysler dealership. Two dealerships in the same building was normal back then.
