Leading the pack of bed builders was Bill Thompson who was very thankful for everyone who came out to help volunteer. Thompson is the president of the Campbell County Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
A record-shattering number of 150 volunteers came out and put together in total, 56 beds. Each individual found a station on the assembly line, rather that be sanding, drilling, staining, or simply carrying supplies to and from stations.
The finished beds, which thanks to the large number of volunteers, were completed in only 90 minutes, go to children in Campbell County.
The recipient of the newly built bunk beds is the Campbell County Children’s Center. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/16/2024-6AM)
