Skyler Odell Ruiz was born sleeping in the arms of Jesus on May 4, 2025. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother Misty Jo McGhee, Great-Great Grandmother, Renee Alexander, and Great-Great Grandfathers Michael Bailey, and Martin Hoskins.

He is survived by his:

Parents: Kylie and Carter Ruiz.

Siblings: Braelynn and Jason.

Papaw and GiGi: Jason and Renee Shockley.

Grandparents: Alfredo Pereyra, Lauro Ruiz, Kenneth Murray, Odell McGhee, Sarah McGhee.

Aunts: Taylor Pereyra, Jada Kuhane, Tyler Wright.

Uncles: Nolan Ruiz, Kenneth Jr. and wife Gracie McGhee, David Murray, Aiden Kuhane, Cody Mintz Thibault.

Great-Great Grandparents: Cindy and Lauro Ruiz, Cindy and Gordy Jackson, Richard Egan, Donna Wilbanks, Rudy and Angie Shockley.

Great-Great-Great Grandfather: Rev. Don Allen.

Great-Aunts: Robyn Hoskins Leavitt and husband Stephen, Ramona Renstrom and husband Rich, Amy Durham and husband Stevie, Amanda Losh, and Linda Evans.

Special Uncle: Edward Ruiz.

The family will receive friends on Saturday May 10, 2025, from 1:00PM-2:00PM with a memorial service to follow at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Cross-Smith Funeral Home Officiated by Rev. Jason Shockley.
