
JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- On May 26, Eighth Judicial District Criminal Court Judge Zach Walden sentenced the following offenders to Tennessee Department of Correction custody:
-Misty Dawn Albright, LaFollette, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of Methamphetamine over .5 grams with the intent to sell and was sentenced to 12 years to be served in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Correction. The case was investigated by the LaFollette Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney General Blake A. Mullins.
-Matthew Cobb Jr., Clairfield, pleaded guilty to one count of felon in possession of a handgun and was sentenced to two years to be served in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Correction. The case was investigated by the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney General Lindsey C. Cadle.
-Rodney Lee Carter, Knoxville, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of Methamphetamine weighing 26 grams or more with intent to sell, and one count of possession of Fentanyl over 15 grams with intent to sell and was sentenced for a total of 10 years to be served in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Correction. These cases were investigated by the Tennessee Highway Patrol and prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney General Andi L. Bridges.
-Tommy Ray Morris, LaFollette, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of Methamphetamine over 26 grams or more with intent to sell, and one count of possession of Methamphetamine over 26 grams or more with intent to deliver and was sentenced to a total of 10 years to be served in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Correction. These cases were investigated by the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney General Blake A. Mullins.
-Dave Edward Smith of Barbourville, Kentucky, pleaded guilty to numerous theft, burglary, and vandalism offenses and was sentenced for a total of four to be served in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Correction. These cases were investigated by the Caryville Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney General Lindsey C. Cadle.
-April Dawn Vinsant of LaFollette, pleaded guilty to one count of vehicular assault, and one count of attempted introduction of a controlled substance in a penal facility and was sentenced for a total of five years in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Correction. These cases were investigated by the Tennessee Highway Patrol and prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney General Lindsey C. Cadle. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 6/1/2026-6AM)
