Simply Skin is WLAF’s Business of the Week.
Pamper yourself or someone you love this spring and check out the relaxing and revitalizing services offered at Simply Skin. The business recently added a Hydromassage Lounger in the past month.

The salon offers a multitude of services including customized facials, waxing services, hydromassage lounger, Halo Therapy Salt Room, Infrared Sauna, Ion Cleanse Body Detox and much more.
The business is owned by licensed Esthetician Vicky Hartlep, who has over 15 years of experience and is licensed in North Carolina and Tennessee.
Hartlep began her business in LaFollette in 2019 when she moved here from the Nashville area, prior to that she worked as an Esthetician there.
Hartlep said she was excited to announce the addition of a Hydromassage Lounger in the past month. The lounger uses adjustable jets of warm, pressurized water to massage muscles and soft tissue.
“If a recliner, a waterbed and a jacuzzi had a baby, this would be the result,” Hartlep said, explaining the many benefits.
“The benefits of hydromassage are muscle relaxation, pain relief, improved circulation, reduced stress and anxiety, and post-workout recover. All moving parts and water are contained inside the lounger, so you remain dressed and dry.”
“This is also a great option for those who want a massage, but don’t like people touching them, or if you need to fit in some relaxation, but don’t have time for a full massage, the lounger has 20- and 30-minute massage options,” Hartlep said.

Come check out the relaxing atmosphere at Simply Skin, home to the area’s only Salt Room within an hour’s drive of LaFollette.
A Salt Room is a “natural, alternative treatment for respiratory and skin issues: asthma, allergies, COPD, chronic bronchitis, sinusitis, COVID, smokers, eczema, psoriasis, acne, rashes, and aging, to name a few.” It also helps with oxygen endurance, stamina and energy, according to Hartlep, who said athletes often benefit from using the Salt Room. The Infrared Sauna “mimics the rejuvenating power of the sun so you can look better, feel better and heal better.” “Infrared’s deeply penetrating heat promotes a full-body detox, improved circulation, reduced inflammation, and transformative healing inside and out. You get your choice of lighting, music and aroma!”
The Ion-Cleanse Body Detox is a “relaxing and healing foot bath treatment with Bio-Cleanse.” The Bio-Cleanse unit “generates a mix of ions which draw toxic particles out of the body through the pores of the feet. The result is a growing feeling of well-being, a significant increase in over-all energy, allowing your body to function better.” A light foot massage is included in this service.
Simply Skin offers customized facials featuring Lira Clinical products, which will have your skin looking and feeling amazing with or without makeup.” The customized facials come in packages of 30, 60 or 90 minutes and include a skin analysis and consultation, cleansing, steam, exfoliation, hot aromatherapy towels, hand and arm massage, treatment masque, neck and shoulder massage, hydration masque, facial massage, treatment serum, eye crème, moisturizer or sunscreen and lip treatment.
Simply Skin offers add-ons like microdermabrasion, eye, hand, foot or scalp treatments, chemical peels and more. Other services offered by the salon include lash lift, and lash and brow tint, as well as full waxing services.
Hartlep said she enjoyed having her business in Campbell County and that the people were “wonderful and supportive”. She moved to her current location in LaFollette around two years ago.
“I have some dedicated customers and clients, and I can’t thank them enough. A lot of my business comes from word-of-mouth referrals, and I really appreciate my customers for their support,” Hartlep said.
