Shirley Jean Kennedy, age 80, of LaFollette, TN went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 15, 2025. She was a member of Duff Baptist Church. Preceded in death by Husband: Bob Kennedy, Mother and Father: Nannie and Estel Kennedy, Sisters: Nora, Hazel, June, Clara Mae and Gwen. 

Survived by:

Daughters: Jackie Huddleston, Becky Akin and husband Don, Debbie Sweat, Tammy Crum and husband Rusty.

Grandchildren: Michael Kennedy, Allen Sweat, Kimberly Bowling

Several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank LaFollette Health and Rehab for the excellent care and for loving our mother. Also, thank you to Gentiva Hospice for their excellent care. 

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in Cross-Smith Chapel, Rev. Darrell Edwards Officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 AM Friday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery for 11 AM Interment.
