Children’s Center of the Cumberlands awards Yager

NASHVILLE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- State Senator Ken Yager (R-Kingston) was honored with the Children’s Center of the Cumberlands Award on Thu., May 15. Yager received this award for his dedication to the protection of child abuse victims.

“One of our greatest responsibilities in the legislature is to protect those most vulnerable among us,” said Yager. “Children are the future of our country and we must continue to protect them.  Tennessee will not tolerate child abuse in any form and I promise to continue to fight for  every young Tennessean every day in Nashville.” 

This award is given out to a legislator who exemplifies a commitment to the care and protection for child abuse victims.  

The Children’s Center of the Cumberlands provides critical services to child abuse victims and their families, offering hope and healing in some of the most difficult circumstances.
