LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- The Boys and Girls Club of Campbell County received a $10,000 donation during Tuesday’s Rotary Club luncheon at the La Follette Methodist Church. The local club donated $5,000 and Rotary International matched it with $5,000. Boys and Girls Club of Campbell County director Jorden Goins accepted the check and thanked the club for its donation.
“It was an honor to attend the presentation and receive the check. The Rotary Club’s generosity impacts the Boys & Girls Club of Campbell County tremendously. We have acoustic panels coming to help offset some of the echo and noise within our club. We are about to kick start a tech lab to help teach our members computer safety and appropriate computer use,” Goins said.
She said it would also help with field trips.
“We are also able eliminate the cost of field trips for our members this summer as well as add additional member experiences. All of these things have been made possible by the Rotary Club. We appreciate their commitment to our club, our members, and the youth within our community,” Goins said.

General Sessions Judge and President of the Boys and Girls Club of Campbell County Advisory Committee Bill Jones said he was deeply grateful to the Campbell County Rotary Club for its generous $10,000 contribution to the Campbell County Boys & Girls Club.
“This organization has served our community with distinction for many years, and this gift reflects the kind of collaborative spirit that made our Club possible in the first place. We worked for two years to bring this resource to Campbell County children, and support like this ensures that work continues to bear fruit,” Judge Jones said.
He said he hated he had to miss the check presentation.
“Though my duties in court prevented me from attending today’s presentation, I want the Rotary Club to know that their investment is profoundly appreciated by our board, our staff, and most importantly, by the young people who walk through our doors every day.”
Rotarian Tracie Davis and Director of the Campbell County Children’s Center said the Rotary Club wanted to donate to the Boys and Girls Club because “investing in our youth means investing in the future of our community.” (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-05/27/2026-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF NANCY GREEN)
