Scattered rain, thunderstorms expected with some storms producing heavy rainfall, gusty winds

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Limited sunshine and a high of 83 go along with a wet, windy and muggy day today. The muggy conditions will lead to efficient rain makers in particular in the afternoon and evening hours again. Locally heavy rainfall and wind gusts as high as 40 mph will be the main impacts today and tonight.

Storms are possible mainly each afternoon the rest of the week during peak heating. Gusty winds and heavy rainfall are the main concerns.

It’ll be mainly rain-free Friday and Saturday with an outside chance of a heat of the day shower and thunderstorm on Sunday afternoon. Highs will hover around 90 Saturday and Sunday.
