JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- At its Tuesday afternoon meeting, the Campbell County Board of Education approved policies, the School Nutrition Program agreement, school trips, and other business items.

Campbell County Board of Education policies approved on the first reading included attendance and homebound instruction policies.

The School Nutrition Program Agreement and Local Agriculture Agreement for the 2026-2027 school year was approved. This agreement is approved each year before the school year starts.

Also approved on Tuesday were spring salary supplements for Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Jacksboro educators who teach dual enrollment programs.

The board also approved the low bid from Ellison Sanitary Supply on custodial supplies for the 2026-2027 school year. Two bids were received, and the low bid from Ellison was for $43,522.65.

Under executive actions, it was approved for the Campbell County High School Boys and Girls Basketball teams to travel to the Pensacola Beach Basketball Tournament in Pensacola, Florida, on November 22 through November 25th of this year.

In other business, Board Chaiman Jeffrey Miller announced he was forming a Facility Planning Committee and that it would have one member from each district. He asked board member Brandon Johnson to chair that committee.

“The purpose of that committee will be to look at the future, the next five years of our facilities and to start to hash out some maintenance needs for the future and we are going to start on that as soon as possible,” Miller said.

Tuesday’s meeting was recessed until Thu., June 25th at 5:30, for budgetary purposes to close out the school year with the year’s end budget amendments. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-06/10/2026-6AM)
