JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- The Campbell County Regional planning commission met Monday evening approving multiple minor lot subdivisions and several minor lot combinations.

First up for approval was a minor lot subdivision for Robert Borchers II and Brady Veillion on Cameron Loop, La Follette at Norris Lake.

According to surveyors, it is the sale of “200th of an acre and is a simple sub divide.”

County Regional Planner Jordan Rockwell said there were no issues, and he recommended approval. 

The Campbell County Regional planning commission met Monday evening approving multiple minor lot subdivisions and two minor lot combinations.

Also approved was a minor lot subdivision for Brenda Mills on East Norris Point Road, La Follette at Norris Lake.

This is also a “real simple subdivision that moves a lot line by 12 feet and also extends the lake frontage.”

This was also recommended to be approved by Rockwell.

Third up approved was a minor lot subdivision for Dan Shuster Property on Smith Oaks Lane, Jacksboro off Ridenour Lane.

According to surveyors, a 29.5-acre tract of land is being purchased as well as a small tract of land next to an existing home to grant road frontage to the new owner.

Rockwell said it “meets the county’s regulations and recommended approval.”

Also approved was a minor lot subdivision for Mark Proffitt on Landmark Road, Jacksboro off Pinecrest Road.

“It looks good, I went and looked at it,” Rockwell said, recommending approval. 

A minor lot combination for Robert and Barbara Burton on Prestige Ridge, La Follette at Norris Lake, was also approved. 

“They are combining two lots. It’s square and looks good, I recommend approval,” Rockwell said. 

 Planning commission members also approved on Monday a minor lot subdivision on Stinking Creek Road, La Follette between Hwy 25W and I-75, for Jason and Trina Baird. According to Rockwell, the proposal meets the county’s regulations.

A minor lot subdivision for Randy Kolbet on Anchor Lane, La Follette at Norris Lake, was approved as well. 

“This is just cleaning up and shifting some lot lines. It’s very simple; the lot lines didn’t make sense when it was originally subdivided,” Rockwell said. 

Final business concluded was the tabling of a minor lot combination for Melissa and Thomas Witt Properties on Powell Valley Shores Circle, La Follette at Norris Lake. The planning commission approved to table the issue till the next meeting as a plat map had not yet been received. 

Also, during Monday’s meeting county planning commission chair and commissioner Rusty Orick read a letter from Planning Commission member Rob Woodson who announced he was resigning off the planning commission for “someone younger” to sit on the commission. 

“I will take it to county commission and the county mayor will appoint someone to replace him,” Orick said. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-04/08/2025-6AM)
