Pick-up truck bumps school bus, sun temporarily blinds driver

No one was injured

Near Stop Light 6 is where there was a Thursday morning crash.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- “I’d just dropped off my last load of students at the high school (Campbell), and I’m headed to Jellico to transport students from there to Jacksboro Middle School for the 5th grade health fair,” said the driver of Bus D. No students were onboard just before 8am when a pick-up truck crashed into the back of the school bus.

The impact happened in front on Domino’s on West Central Avenue at the 9th Street stop light. The driver of the truck told La Follette Police that the sun temporarily blinded him.

There were not injuries, just damage to the pick-up only as the bus drove away from the scene.
