Phyllis Siler, age 86, of Heiskell, Tennessee, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was the beloved daughter of Loy B. and Zella Cook.
Phyllis’s journey through life was marked by a profound love for her family, her faith, and her community. She found the love of her life in Vernon Ray Siler, with whom she shared a remarkable 61-year marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion.
As a dedicated pastor’s wife for 20 years, Phyllis was a cornerstone of her church, guiding countless children through Vacation Bible School and other church activities. Her warm spirit, genuine kindness, and steadfast faith left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
For 25 years, Phyllis worked in the Norris High/Middle School cafeteria, endearing herself to colleagues and students alike with her cheerful demeanor and nurturing nature. She was known for her ever-present smile, a testament to her boundless optimism and love for life.
Phyllis’s passions extended beyond her service to her church and community. She was an avid singer, talented seamstress, and devoted cook. Her summers were spent canning vegetables, and her winters were filled with the comforting aroma of baked goods wafting from her kitchen. Reading brought her great joy, but nothing compared to the precious moments she spent with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
