JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- “We’ve got four, five, maybe six kids playing at a high level. However, we gotta get the rest of ’em to come on and get it done,” said Campbell Head Football Coach Mark Pemberton. His Cougars host The King’s Academy, two and oh like Campbell, on Friday in a 7:30 game on Reynolds Field.
The veteran coach attributes the other Cougars who need to step it up are new to varsity action, in particular to starting and playing a lot of minutes. “It’s still a process, the players are still working hard, and I still have confidence in them. We’ll keep pushing them, and hopefully, we’ll continue to improve as the season goes along,” said Pemberton.
Campbell’s home game on Friday will kick-off at 7:30pm. “The kick-off time is based on last year’s game contract which was set at 7:30pm,” said Coach Ryan Browning, Campbell’s Co-Athletic Director.

It’s Campbell hosting The Kings Academy over the WLAF-Doyle’s Tire Sports Network, which consists of radio AM 1450, FM 100.9, and live televised coverage over WLAF-TV Channel 1089, 1450wlaf.com, YouTube, Facebook, Amazon Fire TV, and Twitch.
