Patrick “Rick” Ray Bates age 49, departed this life on Tuesday April 29, 2025.  He was a member of First Independent Baptist Church. He was a devout Christian, loving son, brother, and uncle that enjoyed working on his truck, spending time with his family and being a member of Masonic Lodge 322.

Patrick is preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Bates.

He is survived by his parents, Leroy and Crystal Leah Garrett Morgan; sisters, Caryn Heitz and husband Eric of Knoxville, and Vicki Keith of Benton, KY; aunt Vicki Lowe; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday May 4, 2025 from 2 PM to 3:45 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home.  Masonic Service will be follow at 3:45 PM.

The family has entrusted the care of Patrick “Rick” Ray Bates to Martin Wilson Funeral Home “Where Families Matter Most.”
