Mr. Oglee Taylor

Age 91 of Clairfield, Tennessee passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 25, 2024.  He was born July 29, 1933, in Rock Creek, Tennessee. 

He was a member of the Clairfield Freewill Baptist Church and a longtime member of the TN Gospel Brothers.  Oglee was a member of the Valley Star Masonic Lodge #577.  He enjoyed playing gospel music, spending time with family and serving the Lord.  He also spent many years operating heavy machinery and trucks, where he was known as Yogi Bear.

     Oglee is preceded in death by:

Father: Homer Taylor

Mother: Edna (Jackson) Taylor

Brothers: Glenn, Hershel & Leslie Taylor

Sisters: Jane (Taylor) Mobley, Eurtha (Taylor) Davis

     He is survived by:

Wife of 64 years: Louise (Wladroop) Taylor

Sons: Danny (Patty) Taylor of Clairfield & Oglee Taylor, Jr. (Lisa) of Jacksboro, Tennessee

Grandchildren: Amanda Taylor Watkins (Kris), Matthew Taylor (Ariel), Cody Taylor (Kaitlin), Ashley Christian (Aaron)

Brother: Herman (Sue) Taylor

A host of nieces, nephews, family & friends to mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends: 6 – 8 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2024, at the Harp Funeral Home Chapel with Funeral and Masonic Services (Valley Star Lodge # 577 F &AM) to follow

Burial: 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2024, in the Clairfield Baptist Church Cemetery
